A Las Vegas hotel rate can look attractive until you reach the final booking total. For travelers staying at Caesars properties, Diamond status offers a useful way to reduce some of those extra costs and make the hotel experience more convenient.
The 2026 Caesars Diamond Tier Upgrade promotion lets eligible new members request a match using a qualifying competitor’s player’s card. The offer runs from February 1 through December 31, 2026, with matched Diamond status initially valid through January 31, 2027.
Already have an eligible casino membership? You may be able to start with that card. If you do not, Wynn Rewards Platinum is one option to consider before your trip. Below, we explain how to prepare, where to collect your physical card, and how the extension to 2028 works.
Why Caesars Diamond Can Be Useful in Las Vegas
Caesars advertises Diamond perks including resort fee waivers, priority lines at hotel check-in, restaurants and Rewards Centers, and a 20% discount at casino gift shops. Its benefits overview limits the resort fee waiver to one room per stay per eligible member, where applicable.
When deciding whether status is worth pursuing, compare the cost of obtaining it with the resort fees on your planned stay. Use the actual property’s fees and your own travel dates; the value will differ between a short visit and several nights of accommodation.
Check Your Eligibility Before Buying a Membership
The general promotion’s terms require newly verified Caesars members with marketing emails enabled; existing members are excluded. Wynn Las Vegas Platinum and Black appear in the Nevada eligibility list. Bring a current player’s card whose printed name matches your photo ID.
Before purchasing Wynn Platinum specifically for this match, confirm your eligibility with the Caesars Rewards Center you intend to visit. Buying a Wynn upgrade does not guarantee Caesars approval.
Las Vegas vs. Atlantic City: Two Different Matching Routes
The Atlantic City promotion accepts both new and existing Caesars Rewards members. However, guests who participated in its tier match in 2025 are not eligible to match in 2026.

Atlantic City has no Wynn property, so you cannot collect a Wynn player’s card there. More importantly, Wynn Platinum is not on the accepted-card list for this Atlantic City offer. The Wynn-first route in this guide is intended for Las Vegas.
As detailed in AwardWallet’s Atlantic City guide, qualifying alternatives include Borgata Gold, Platinum or Noir; Ocean Prime or Reserve; and Hard Rock Atlantic City X Card. The match is requested in person at Caesars, Harrah’s Resort or Tropicana in Atlantic City.
If you already have a Caesars account and plan to visit Atlantic City, first check whether you hold an accepted competitor card. If you do not, you will need a different starting membership; purchasing Wynn Platinum alone does not provide a direct route through this regional promotion.

How to Request the Match: Wynn First, Caesars Second
1. Confirm Your Wynn Platinum Upgrade
Wait for completion confirmation and review your membership details before traveling. Check that the account uses your correct legal name. If anything needs attention, resolve it before you arrive at the membership desk.
2. Collect Your Physical Wynn Player’s Card
Once in Las Vegas, visit a Wynn Rewards desk at Wynn or Encore and ask staff to print your current Platinum player’s card. Wynn’s program terms allow cards to be obtained in person and require acceptable government-issued photo identification.
Check the card before leaving the desk. This is the card you will present for the next stage; do not plan the visit around an account screenshot alone.
3. Visit a Participating Caesars Rewards Center
Take your card and identification to a participating Caesars Rewards Center, explain that you want to request the 2026 Diamond Tier Match, and have staff check your eligibility. Follow their instructions for Caesars enrollment and verification if needed.
Ask how to follow up on the request and check your account afterward. The formal terms allow up to 30 business days for processing. Avoid making your trip depend on immediate approval.
4. Check Which Benefits Have Been Activated
Matched members must earn 100 Tier Credits to qualify for certain Diamond benefits. Ask the desk which benefits are active before relying on them.

The extension is conditional: meet the match-month target during its qualifying window. Earlier credits outside that window do not count. The following schedule applies to 2026.

A lower target later in the year comes with less time to earn it. Choose a timing that fits your actual travel plans, and ask staff to confirm the applicable window recorded for your account.
Keep the benefit activation requirement and the extension target separate when planning. A Diamond card on its own should not be treated as confirmation that you have completed the extension.
